Slug Attack

Everything in the allotment is having a rest .... apart from the slugs, wood pigeons, rabbits and the mouse that seems to have moved into our hut. This is a slug paradise by the looks of it. The sprouts were still trying to grow but it was a losing battle so I now have a bag of mini-sprouts in the fridge waiting on some culinary inspiration. I was really up there to lift some spuds though; leek and potato is the Soup of the Week. I was trying a recipe from Leon Happy Soups, a great Christmas present, and decided to bake a Rye loaf from the same book. Happy to report that both are excellent!
