Serra d’Agua

I’m back on my beloved levadas. It’s just under nine months since my second hip, and I chose a lovely short and scenic walk to see how I went on. I loved it and managed fine.

It was super to spend this lovely morning with PicturePoems. The Serra d’Agua walk is part of the 70km Levada do Norte, starting in Campanario and going as far as Serra d’Agua. It’s flat, beautiful, forested and peaceful. You look down on Ribeira Brava and across the fabulous terrain. It’s 5.5km and ideal. There were two very young boys ( 5 and 7 at a guess) who seemed to enjoy it too.

My extras are of a feisty lady who has refused to move from her remote cottage as her family would like. She’s 88 and doing fine, thank you. And one of her kittens
