The other Egypt

We hired a golf-buggy and saw a glimpse of another side of Egypt’s tourist industry, now devastated because of the terrorism threat.
 
Mile upon mile of abandoned building projects, hotels started and never finished. Even functioning hotels had deserted beaches, and row upon row of empty sun loungers. ( See extra photos.)
 
It was as if we had stumbled across a film set, without the people.
 
Unoccupied security boxes dotted the shoreline except those outside hotels..
