Feeding Ponies

The Man, #2 Daughter and I headed off to the lodge for the arrival of The Grandchildren with #1 Daughter & SIL. What excitement!

In the afternoon we went to The Beehive for drinks so that The Little Tykes could let off steam in the play area after their long car journey. Some of the bigger people had a good run around game of tig. Daniel told me I would have to do a lot better if I was going to catch him!

Later in the afternoon some of tomorrow's carrots got fed to the ponies. I went out with The Girls to see them. The Mare has been in this field for all the 14 years we've had the lodge and her foal was born in our early years here. I always thought they would be blipped one day but I didn't expect it to take this long.

If only I'd known a carrot would have tempted them over!
