Pictorial blethers

Alcoutim

I’m blipping when I should be watching an ancient video, entirely in Portuguese, about tuna fishing. I’m hungry and in need of a drink, but we’ve to have our culture first.

And I’m tired, after glorious but fairly strenuous walking over the maquis-like country of the Spanish border , finishing here, at Alcoutim. This view is taken from the castle, fortifications that have existed here since before the Romans came. The white town in the distance is in Spain, and there are statues of guards and smugglers scattered through the town.

And now to attend to the tuna ..
