Terrific News flash!

I think the blip might just have given the game away, but ...
Yesterday as we were heading South (and in the Lake District with lousy reception) LD rang from Venice. My immediate reaction was panic as she'd only ring from 'foreign' in a dire emergency. But, as you've probably already guessed from the blip, she had the GREATEST news: she and the LBF are now engaged to be married! He surprised her with a beautiful ring and (thank goodness) she accepted. I was so delighted and trying to drive the car and pick up what she was saying through the crackle that it was a very Chinese whispers-type of conversation with a lot of 'What?'s and 'Eh?'s, but eventually she got the message through. And LH had known since our trip with them to London as LBF had asked him then .... sneaky whatsit ... but so nice to know that old courtesy isn't dead :-))
Ahhh I'm all fuzzy thinking about it now ... !!
So LBF is promoted to LF and we gain a wonderful family addition. We feel extremely fortunate.
Sadly, I had to use the supermarket card choices as our schedule is too busy in the timeframe available, hence the trolley blip with cards tastefully laid over bread. I wanted to blip The Ring but LD's internet WhatsApp pic won't load so this is my default. It'll do, Pig :-)
Today has been food shopping and vital admin (aka finally being allowed to help LH with the documentation from our house purchase and helping to unravel the nasty snarl we've got into). Not fun as such, but very satisfying getting things into a manageable order. No wonder he's been going bonkers.
Bed. Freezing cold but (thank goodness) no snow . Yet ...
