Making a little path...

Amidst a very busy day (some of it unlooked for like Rula deciding to go awol in the snow, driven by the scent and tracks of deer all around) I managed to get a wee bit of time to clear part of the path  outside the house and in front of my work space though snow has continued to fall on occasion though only in light flurries.

What is lying  is thicker than we have had it for some years but in addition in some spots  it has been worn down by the wind, producing much deeper drifts in lots of unexpected places.   Our little stream, for example, has been completely filled in and the pond has both ice and snow on it as my extra photo shows.
