Gullfest

Four days of relentless strong winds from the east have driven a heavy swell onto our local shoreline. It has stirred up many organisms living in the sand and that in turn has attracted thousands of gulls to feast on this bounty.

Constantly driven into the air by the breaking waves, they pick their moment to dip rapidly into the water to retrieve a trophy.

It is still bitterly cold so didn't stay out long. Real purpose was to get bread from the supermarket but alas, the shelves were bare.
