Princes Street

There was quite a lot of snow overnight and the roads were very quiet as people had heeded the advice on not travelling, The buses, except for the ones to the airport, were off and it was kind of eerie as a lot of the shops and businesses were also closed. The much maligned trams were running, but less frequently than normal as fewer people were travelling. The blip is taken at the bottom of the Mound and usually doesn’t work too well as it’s against the light. However with the snow it looked very good. The extras are an impaled snow person on the fence of Princes Street Gardens and a view of Salisbury Crags with a plume of spindrift coming from it (taken from Calton Hill).
Yesterday’s blip.
