Sister in law

Theatre Royal this afternoon.  Saw ART - starring Nigel Havers ( a particular favourite of mine), Stephen Tompkinson and  Denis Lawson. Billed as " One of the most successful comedies ever ".  It was excellent.  All 3 actors played their parts well. It was quite short -  1½  hours with no interval.   ( We actually did have an unscheduled break after 40 mins due to an audience member taking ill but once they had been attended to the play continued.)

So I was out of the theatre earlier than usual  - at 3.30pm.  I did a bit of shopping in Waitrose before getting the shuttle bus to the Metrocentre. I had recived an e mail to say that a parcel I was expecting from eBay was ready to collect at Argos. After picking up the parcel I mooched around T K Maxx for a while and then came home.  Had a quick bite to eat and then got changed.

My sister in law Virginia arrived at 7.30pm to take me to her house for the evening.  I had a lovely time chatting and catching up with Virginia and my brother John.  I hadn't seen them since before Christmas. We had some tasty food too.

I asked Virginia if I could take her photo for International Womens Day.  I must admit she wasn't keen.  Obviously she was just chilling at home and she didn't think she looked " smart " enough and she thought her hair was a mess. ( she's getting it cut shorter tomorrow ).  I assured her she looked absolutely fine - and after she has tidied up her hair a bit I took the shot. The lighting was poor but I'm still pleased with the photo.  I have added the colours purple, green and white which symbolise women's equality.

Virginia is a great sister in law.  She and John have been married  about 40 years. They have  3 children and 3 grandchildren. Virginia has always been a real family orientated person - loves having family get togethers.  She has a large family and she always includes me in whatever she organises.  She works as a carer and visits the elderly/disabled in their homes.

I got home after midnight and have been catching up with recorded TV ----  Masterchef  and Still Game.
