Newie Baths

It's been a while since I was around Newie baths and the Cowrie Hole at sunset.  I had missed the action of soft pinks and greys to the East and they have painted the pump house a startling white.  I think I preferred it looking a bit rustic.  There were quite a few people in the baths having an evening wallow.

The highlight of the day I have to say was the guest speaker at an International Women's Day breakfast I went to this morning.  Her name was Rabia Siddique.  Some people may already have heard of her.  She spoke for over an hour and was very inspiring talking about her early life growing up in Perth of a Muslim Indian father and an Australia mother, being a young lawyer and then in the British Army legal corps.  She also sued the MOD for discrimination and won.  She barely touched the surface and I have been thinking about her life all day today as the more she spoke the more questions I have of what she did not say.  I am definitely going to get her book.

Happy weekend blippers.  Sleep in tomorrow but then a visit at the nursing home and cooking snags at Bunnings in the afternoon.  I will smell like one by the end of it.....
