Blues... with a twist

A wonderful Sunday afternoon photographing Riquet Jug Band's gig for Le Lieu. Contrary to the previous shows I photographed, they are a seasoned band, but they did start with a residence at Le Lieu and have remained faithful ever since. They play really good rag blues, both acoustic and electrified. They are even incorporating electronica in their music now - though not on the CD I bought from them after the show.

By the way, they're a three-men band: one plays double bass, the second plays strings (guitars and banjo) and the last one plays, well, everything else: all kinds of percussions, harmonica, saxophone and electronica! He's Glenn, pictured here..
