Half man with helmet

I came upon this little scene today, while I was waiting for some trainees.  It's in another part of our training establishment but I can't think why there is half a mannekin with a helmet and jacket on a bench.

But it was there, so I snapped it.

The extra photo is of one of those rather poignant bunches of flowers that you find on the side of roads where there was probably an accident . . .
