coffee to go

Started the day with a yoga class and a vegan turmeric latte, which sounds pretentious but was very pleasant indeed. Look at that beautiful saucer! Thank you, Mrs Green :-)

And now I’m on my way to Bromley, Reading “The Invisible Man” by HG Wells and I just found out that HGW was born in Bromley (in a house which is now Primark). He didn’t like Bromley and refused to accept the freedom of it when offered. There was a mural to commemorate him, but it has been painted over with one for Charles Darwin, another famous son of Bromley who was presumably more grateful. More recently, home to the “Bromley Contingent” who so annoyed Bill Grundy in 1976....and my brother. Which is why I’m going there.
