Our Friends at Lunch

We took our hosts in St. Dizier, Anne and Roger, out to lunch today, at the Grange Aux Abeilles not too far away--a wonderful restaurant.  The weather was absolutely awful all day, spitting light rain and bits of snow nearly constantly.  At the end of the afternoon I watched Ireland win the Grand Slam (i.e. all five matches) in this year's Six Nations Rugby tournament, by decisively beating England. That was followed by a heart-breaking loss by France to Wales, 14-13; France narrowly missed a makable penalty kick with just a few minutes to go, which could well have won it for them. France finished fourth and Wales second--a French win would have made it the other way round.
