Whirly things in the garden centre

An unusual Sunday. Chris sent a WhatsApp from a railway carriage in Tokyo where he’d just arrived from San Diego. Goodness knows what the time zone changes are between here, there and San Diego. I was watching the second half of the Wales v France game at the time. Close fought with Francs serving to win but falling short by one point.

Walked out to the garden centre at Notcutts for this month’s free coffee having to call in at Doreen’s to sort out her central heating which had not come on. It was at Notcutts that I spotted today’s blip. Took loads but it was difficult to find the best to post.

After that it was just puttering, looking up trains for a trip to Milton Keynes, booking a hotel near York for April, looking for a cottage in the Lakes in May. Baked some tea cakes in the new over which turned out well.

Doreen turned down coming to us for Sunday dinner, she missed smoked gammon cooked in cider then roasted with a honey mustard paste. We had to go up to her again as her heating was still playing up. The clock was set 12 hours out.

Played a bit of uke after dinner then joined Susan for a run through of The Boxer which I’m doing along with Moonshadow at the Folk Club on Wednesday.
