Red Bud

Red buds on the Red Bud tree are something I am always happy to see each spring.  Today being the first day of spring I thought they would make a good blip.

Years ago Kent & I planted two Red Bud saplings.  The one was taken care of as it should.  So was the second one except that on more than one occasion it was run over with the lawn mower.  Of course it is the one that got run over with the lawn mower that is now our wonderful Red Bud Tree.

Both Kent and I were awakened last night by a coyote howling to beat the band.  You know I was extremely happy when all four cats (my 2, Runyon's & MiniMe) came for breakfast and none had any visible signs of trauma.

Got to have lunch with Jenny today.  She is in our MS group and she is the one that sews our quilts together.  I had to get all the pieces I had done to her and told her I would treat her to lunch.  It was a good lunch and I hope we get the opportunity to do it again.
