Dinner time for Olivia

Slept well.....woke fairly early as we had a busy day ahead.

We popped round to daughters this morning to drop off the girls easter eggs. Middle son and his wife were visiting her with their two youngest too.  Yesterday evening youngest son rang to see if we were around over the weekend, as they had easter eggs to drop off ......long story short, they too popped round to daughters. So nice to see our three together, with their wives.....with busy lives it doesn't happen that often. We have made a tentative arrangement for us all to try and meet up once we are back off holiday, for Sunday lunch somewhere central, together with the five granddaughters........fingers crossed :-)

Daughter had treated us all to mid morning doughnuts with our cuppas.
So much for trying to be good pre holidays!  The time flew, we all had a good catch up. The girls were having their lunch as we were getting ready to leave. We had to be back home just after midday as the hairdresser was coming for our holiday haircuts, so I quickly riffled off a couple of shots of the girls.  I had forgotten and left my camera in my bag!  This is Olivia enjoying her ham sandwich on brown bread, with French fries....she is eating so much better these days.

Once hubs hair was cut he decided to go back to daughters for another couple of hours, as Emily and her Dad were popping in. I stayed put with a plastic bag on my head :-/  very glam!!

Its not very often I find myself alone, so enjoyed the peace and quiet with just the radio for company. The new trouser hangers I had ordered were delivered earlier so transferred all our trousers onto the new hangers,  the last job to finish off the bedroom...oh and I fixed a magnetic LED strip light above my make up mirror inside one of the robes... hope its not too bright ;-)

Cooked a chicken for dinner. Made a pasta dish for this evening and gravy for tomorrows roast.  Vacuumed through and cleaned the kitchen floor.

It has been lovely and sunny for most of the afternoon and still is to be fair, looks and feels almost Spring like........hub has just arrived back in time to watch the Boat Races.  Well done Cambridge.

A word on Englands football last night....great first half, not so good second half, once he made the changes to include the so called first teamers, imho anyhow!  Time will tell!

Don't forget to put your clocks forward tonight folks, the lighter nights are coming :-D
