The battle begins

Spotted this early rhododendron in the garden, the first this year, and in next-door’s garden (see extra) this young stag waiting for the tulips and other tasty munchies to emerge from the ground.
 
It’s clear all the deer proofing last autumn was in vain. They are back. With a vengeance.
 
Let the battle begin!
