Julian Richards

Today we went to the opening service for the season at Shaftesbury Abbey .
Julian Richards the archaeologist - of ‘ Meet the Ancestors ‘fame, gave an introductory talk on the SAVED project ( Shaftesbury Abbey,a Voyage of Exploration and Discovery!!!) . He’s so inspiring and enthusiastic- he wants the whole community to be involved. We have expressed interest in an introductory evening training in archaeology and also doing some archive support - we shall see but it should be really interesting.
We were standing outside so it’s a good job all the speakers were able to hold our attention! :))
