H.L. Hunley Crew Final Resting Place

This is a cemetery monument to the second of three crews for H.L. Hunley, a Confederate submarine. Never actually a CSS Hunley, it sank three times, killing three crews. On the third try, it sank USS Housatonic in Charleston Harbor, 1965, and was lost unitil 2000. The three crews were subsequently interred at Magnolia Cemetery in 2004, pictured here.
