Flooded

Our plan today was to drive to Naburn Locks and walk along the riverbank.
Well we didn’t quite make it.
This photo shows the caravan park near the river.
As you can see it is still flooded, as well as the road down tithe Locks.
There were about half a dozen caravans which had been moved to higher ground.
This does seem to happen quite often now, so I suppose the owners are used to it.
We decided to carry on to the Designer Outlet and go shopping instead.
That road was also flooded, so we stopped thinking we would have to turn back.
However a car overtook us, and drove on through the water, which wasn’t quite as deep as we had thought. So decided to follow, driving slow and steady.

Not a complete waste of time as we came home with a new suit case. Something that was on our list of things to buy before the holidays.
