Leaving Dunbar harbour

MrM had arranged to drive up to Dunbar this morning to pick up an instrument needing repair from a customer. So we decided to make the most of the good weather and to explore the area a little.

We had a look around the town itself, and then enjoyed a walk around the harbour area and watched the lifeboat (extra) going in and out of the harbour at speed, presumably on exercises.

Then MrM drove us up the coast a little to the John Muir Country Park, where we ate our picnic lunch with a sea view, looking out to Bass Rock. A lovely, scenic drive home via Garvald and the Lammermuirs. We had spent rather longer than intended around Dunbar, so North Berwick and Tantallon Castle are still on the ever-increasing list of places to go...
