Evening cranes...

...with swans as a bonus. I didn't see them in the morning today, but a pair of each was there in the evening. A few swans flew over, and the ones on the ground made their presence known very loudly.

The temperature went down to -7°C in the morning which made optimal conditions to haul some silage bales home from a distant field. I did that also yesterday, and now I have enough bales nearby for about a month. The small roads may be in poor condition soon when the frozen ground melts, so it was about time to bring them home. On the other hand, it would have been difficult earlier when there was too much snow on the field. The silage pit was finished today, and bales will be fed for the rest of the spring.

Also continued chopping firewood. All the birch done now, some mixed wood left. In the evening changed summer tyres to the car. A bit early with the current conditions, but we'll spend a long weekend on a trip and there will hardly be any frost after the first hour tomorrow morning.
