Marjorie's ramblings

Making contact

Our alarm specialist came today because the house alarm has gone off twice recently. We suspect you know who! The system has been adjusted now so that acrobatic felines can no longer upset the sensors.

(They did not like the noise of the alarm as the testing was done and hid for hours in the wardrobe.)

Janet then arrived for the day. She and I were at Medical School together and are now both retired. Janet's daughter, Irayna, has a beautiful baby, Rayan, who is 7 months old. We had a few minutes on FaceTime with them and I did my best to capture the moment.

Janet brought a delicious homemade pudding which we sampled at lunchtime and she had made a simnel lemon slice too. Mmmm.

Tonight I went to the  Queens Hall for a Charity concert organised by Rotary. The place was packed out for an eclectic mixture of music, loosely on the theme of Traditional Irish and Folk Music. (Since when have the BeeGees been folk musicians?)  It was a lively, happy evening.

My friend Jean won an enormous bottle of champagne in the raffle.
