Titanic Effect

I hadn't set out to join in with silly Saturday, but this was one not to miss!

We met up with friends today to visit a local brewery and have a tour. The brewery in question is the Titanic Brewery based in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent.  It's not in the most scenic location being on an industrial estate, but we had lots of fun. 

It started with a drink in the local Titanic pub in Burslem, along with many football fans.....! It was a home game for Port Vale, against Lincoln. Not something I'd experienced before. Lots of very loud chanting, but all good humoured.

I also put a bet on the Grand National, again a first for me. As we were with good friends I'd chosen "Pleasant Company" to win. So close but not to be!

The tour included 3 pints of beer, and you were given bottle tops as your currency. As you can see being used to good effect here.

I think we may have started an annual event here.
