Town Gardens (Wednesday 18th April 2018)

Today's sunshine made me hanker for some rhubarb mead, and I wandered off to the New Wine Shop in search of some. They were expecting exactly what I was after in about 10 days time. Meanwhile he let me sample a rhubarb gin and another mead. He talked about gins and cocktails and I bought a copy of his book, The Gin Sat Nav, full of good advice.
I walked through the Town Gardens enjoying the sunshine on the daffodils and the blossom (See Extras).

Paradise Quartet - Car Florida (1984)
Jill B Jaffe (viola), Mary L Rowell (violin), Kay Stern (violin) and Eugene Moye (cello)
One Jim Jarmusch film that I had somehow managed not to see until this day is Stranger Than Paradise, about three characters who "manage to make the least of every situation". I had found it was available on Amazon Prime and enjoyed it very much. The music soundtrack was written by John Lurie, who played Willie, the central character in the film, and was orchestrated by Evan Lurie, his brother.

The Old Forge (The Forest Garden rather more established than at the same time this year)
