World Tour of Scotland - 4 Durness

We made our way westwards along the north coast of Scotland, very winding roads but giving us glimpses of lovely beaches below the cliffs.

The highlight was the particular beach I've blipped. It was one of those sights that comes up, unexpectedly and takes your breath away. Shame it had zip wires across it! I've avoided the distraction on the shot. This was taken at Ceannabeinne Beach, Durness, Lairg.

However, I also wanted to include a shot in Extras, taken on a private bit of beach on Loch Eriboll, accessible from our campsite at Laid. Funny the place being called Laid because we were literally laid on these pebbles hiding with our cameras to get shots of red deer coming down at dusk to feed on seaweed. One part of this scenario didn't happen!
