Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Kacy and Clayton - This World Has Seven Wonders (2017)
This is my pick from today's Cerys Mathews show on Six. After playing it someone texted her to remark it reminded them of early Fairport Convention, which was exactly what I had thought, especially the Richard Thompson-like guitar. Kacy Anderson and Clayton Linthicum are a folk/roots duo originally from Wood Mountain in Saskatchewan, Canada. This is from The Siren’s Song, which also features Mike Silverman on drums and Shuyler Jansen on bass. The album was produced and recorded by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy in his studio The Loft in Chicago IL.
