Where the Light Gets In

Between the lines

are they for swimming
imagine lines of water
and happy bathers

I loved the geometry of those lanes of plastic planted in the soil, presumably to act as greenhouses and also, probably, to protect the seeds from birds. I pass the field everyday on my way to and from the village. I just had to stop this time.

Extra: we tried one of the two types of tea Julie got me as a present for my birthday. Excellent, as might be expected from Mariage Frères. They've been active since 1854 and have the most wonderful variety of teas. A whole range of Earl Greys of course, but also teas they only offer at certain times in the year. At the moment, there are Lily of the Valley teas, and a selection of Sakura teas, flavoured with cherry-tree flowers - they make these with green, white and blue teas. :-) We'll soon taste my Wedding Imperial tea, I'm sure!

I tagged this for MonoMonday, even though the theme this week is "Street Portrait". I figured, as there are lanes in it, it could be remotely construed as "street". ;-) I still have to come up with an excuse for the "portrait" part, though... :-D
