Hard work

A lovely day full of sewing; a morning group followed by a mad dash to Kirkwall for important stuff like card and graph paper (and printer ink - typical that it runs out today!). A bit tricky 'dashing' through a crowd off the big cruise ship but they looked like they were curious and engaged and enjoying their wander.

And then sewing here this evening with the lovely group who let me try and indoctrinate them with my enthusiasm for patchwork and quilting. And chatting ... always a very important element of 'creative' get togethers ;-)

Poppydog disappeared for at least half an hour just before the evening meet up. She has NEVER done this before. Of course, she showed up after I'd left the note for the imminent arrivals and was about to jump in the car for a better recce. Little madam. I think she chased a pheasant or rabbit and lost herself in the excitement. Unfortunately, she will now need extra heavy supervision whenever she goes outside ... meanwhile, the sofa needs a quick testing to check it's still OK for a nap or five (extra).
