Processions 2018

At the City Chambers in Edinburgh this morning it was lovely to see the team from Processions 2018 drumming up support for their fabulous event on June 10 to commemorate the centenary of the first inroads into votes for women.

As part of the parade, which will snake through the city creating ribbons of Suffragette colour, those taking part are being encouraged to make banners to carry. This is a close up of part of the one of the incredibly beautiful example banners - called “Life” - made by the awesome Scottish-based textile artist Clare Hunter. Gorgeous.
