Sunset over Macclesfield

We had a lovely drive back to Macclesfield today, to continue our sorting in Mum-in-Law's house: we took the Military Road/Carlisle/M6 route again and were amazed at how quiet the roads were on a lovely sunny bank holiday weekend. We took a slight detour via Congleton on the approach to Macc in order to visit some friends who'd lent us some info about New Zealand prior to our holiday there earlier this year: we wanted to return their booklet.

I've not had time to find a Silly Saturday blip today but as we sat having our meal I noticed rather a nice sunset. So I popped out into St Paul's churchyard just across the road from MiL's house. The church is very significant for us: we were married there many years ago, and the churchyard contains the ashes of my Editor's father, brother and brother-in-law (all of whom died too young), along with other deceased members of her family.

Best to view large if you've time.
