Kyösti Kallio

I've taken umpteen pictures of this statue of Kyösti Kallio, the fourth President of Finland, as it stands on my walk to work. But this is his first blip, as far as I can tell from perusing my journal, and it's also the first time I've had the idea of photographing him from the side, with the striking green of the tree, blue of the sky, and just the edge of the Music Centre.

On my way in to attend an annual lecture, see my colleagues, and go to a reception. Oh, and I squeezed in a spinning class as well. Back home now, and contemplating another fairly early night to complement the very early night we had yesterday. But I did manage 9 hours sleep yesterday, bar a few minutes, and that made all the difference to how I felt.
