Ferragudo

Our last full day today, and a day for everyone to do their own thing.  We chose to wander down to the bay for a bit, have coffee, and then take a local bus to Ferragudo, a fishing village not far away.  To be honest, it has grown a lot since its fishing village days, as most of the places in the Algarve seem to have done, but it had a certain 'shabby chic' charm which we enjoyed.   Have added a couple of extra pictures of the place.

My main photo is taken looking across the river towards Portimao, where there was a large cruise ship in the dock, it must have been busy over there.

We had some lunch in a nice café, and met some of our party who had had the same idea as us to come here.  So we sat even longer and chatted for a while before taking the bus back to Carvoeiro and having a wee walk along the clifftop.

A group of us decided to dine out of the hotel tonight, in a lovely Italian restaurant, and we had a lovely evening.
