Another sunless day and the rain has been a frequent visitor today already. The cold wind from the North Sea is also keeping temperatures down. Today's blip is my newish Clematis - only the second year of flowering and it is rather pretty. It only cost me £2 in Asda last year and has, so far, avoided any attempts by the "gardener" to obliterate it.
We were back very late from the hospital last night. We were allowed to stay until 10 p.m. as Maddie's daddy had just been brought up to the Ward at 8 p.m. Everything went well thankfully so he is being kept in for observation until the Consultant says he can go home. He is hoping it will be today and, just like his mother, is getting very impatient about being constrained and is desperate to be home. We popped in to see him this morning and took him some essentials to keep him going. He is on a liquid diet for the next couple of weeks and needs high protein beverages to build up his strength.
Our NHS is amazing and the staff at the hospital have been absolutely fantastic. Jeremy Hunt and Co please take note.
It seems to be Friday and the weekend - enjoy. We are just heading off for afternoon visiting and hoping the boy can come home with us.
