Ferry to Little Cumbrae

The HG and I had a trip to Largs today, via Greenock and Gourock as we wanted to go along the River Clyde.  The weather was idyllic and we passed the Cloch Lighthouse (see extra) and visited the garden centre near there for coffee, and a good browse (the HG bought plants!) before carrying on to Largs.  Arran was a bit misty but looked grand.

We had a good walk there along the promenade, and were delighted to see a bride having her photos taken.  (see extra).  Heading home via West Kilbride, we passed Portencross Castle and I stopped to have a photo of it and there was another bride having photos taken (see extra).  Notice that kilts are all the rage for weddings in Scotland.

And we stopped for a fish tea at a little place we know on the coast before coming home.
