Flags by the canal

Awake ridiculously early. It was barely today when my eyes snapped open and that was the start of Wednesday. I can cope with a sleepless night but I don't like it. Started out for the canal when even the motorway was pretty quiet and was rewarded with a substantial dog walk shared by very few others. The flag iris are starting to flower. They like to get their feet wet so they do well at the canal. At a slightly more respectable hour I pitched up to start my childminding day. An early trip to the supermarket to buy the dog some biscuits as I'd forgotten to pack his breakfast. Then coffee, again by the canal, and back to the toddler's house. Surprisingly she has declared herself sleepy too and has gone off for a nap. I'm using this time to blip as I don't think I'll be up late tonight when I get home.

The weather is beautifully sunny again so after nap time I think we'll spend the afternoon in the garden.
