The Emperor

Dragonfly chasing this afternoon. I went in search of the Downy Emerald, a dragonfly that I've never managed to photograph. It still eludes me but there were plenty of others around including some very feisty male Emperors. I've wasted lots of time and energy trying to get dragonfly in flight images before. This time I set myself a limit of five shots and managed to get this on the second attempt.
