Paintbox

Over the last few days the roses in the front garden have started to bloom. The garden faces north so they are always quite late. This is paintbox which I've had for 30 years. It's the first rose that I planted in the garden. My parents had one at home and I've always liked the way it begins with this very strong reddish orange which then changes to a more yellowy orange as the rose opens out. I thought I should get a photo of it now as a storm is forecast for later today and tomorrow.
