A watery debut

Rosellen Dick began painting five years ago after retiring as a teacher. She is self-taught having taken some  courses and studied with a few established artists.

This year she felt confident enough to take part in Open Studios.

And she is delighted with the result.

It’s been non-stop visitors to her converted barn on the outskirts of Stirling.
And now she has been given the names of some galleries to approach.

I first met Rosellen in dance class and later introduced her to our local ukulele class where she is now one of their star singers.

She likes my instragrams featuring a whale- so I have added one to her studio.
After all, she does like painting water.

Rosellen shares the studio space with her son, Stuart,  ( see extra photo) a photographer, specialising in documenting Scotland's changing rural landscape and disappearing agricultural implements.
