The day started with a second visit to our little corner of paradise, to sign a rental contract. It felt ridiculously exciting, although of course we now have a six-month wait. Then lunch at the beach, of course. We like Cantarrijan specifically because even when it's quite crowded, it's peaceful because the demographic is largely northern Europeans of a certain age, who like to read, eat, doze, and swim. But as we were leaving at about six, a live band set up in the restaurant, playing Latin beats, and within minutes the floor was full of people dancing. Clearly the summer season has arrived.

And we finished off our few days in Almuñecar at the Thursday evening intercambio, meeting lots of familiar faces and a few new ones. It was a pleasant evening; we left fairly early due to having to get up before dawn tomorrow.
