The Lozarithm Lens

Caen Hill (Sunday 24th June 2018)

Where do all the swans go at this time of year? For the second week in a row there was no sign of the family at the Caen Hill locks. I had also not seen any on the Avon at Melksham, at Devizes Wharf or even on the Crammer as I drove past. In short, I have seen no swans.

I was looking out for wildflowers at Caen Hill. I used both my LX100 with its Micro 4/3rds sensor and my red Pentax with the larger APS-C sensor and 18-55 kit lens. I was rather surprised to find that the LX100 produced the sharper results. Although I did find some suitable wildflowers I have chosen this charmingly withered clematis growing beside the towpath to blip.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Wilko Johnson and Roger Daltrey - Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window? (2015)
Wilko Johnson has always been a fan of Bob Dylan and first covered this song on his 1981 album Ice On The Motorway. Bob Dylan's original, his least commercial single, was recorded with the Band (then the Hawks) during the sessions for Highway 61 Revisited. I heard this version on Cerys Matthew's show this morning.
