Ghost Town

We were told about Kalami, a village about five miles from Viannos, Crete,
 (GPS: N:  35.14724  E: 25.29540) that was to be a dam but the plan was pulled leaving the village deserted except for a couple who stayed.

From paperwork we found it seems to have been deserted about 1975.

The blip photo shows a pair of shoes that have probably been there for over 40 years....like new!

The extra shows a magazine from 1966. I do like the words on the page - Day Dreamers Work At Night!
