Round the next corner

Roedd y tywydd yn well heddiw. Ar ôl brecwast penderfynon ni gyrru i Llanussyllt (Saundersfoot). Ond yn gyntaf roedd rhaid i ni fynd yn ôl i Ddinbych-y-pysgod oherwydd dydy ein stôf newydd ddim yn gweithio. Ar ôl ein hymweld byr i Ddinbych-y-pysgod gwnaethon ni parhau i Saundersfoot. Dydy dre Saundersfoot ddim mor ddiddorol na Dinbych-y-pysgod ond mae'r traeth ac arfordir yn ddiddorol iawn. Aethon ni o gwmpas y siopau i gyd, ond dydyn ni ddim yn gweld unrhyw beth y roedden ni eisiau. Ar amser cinio aethon ni i 'Harbwr' a chawson ni eog wedi'i grilio. Yna aethon ni i lawr i'r traeth.

Roedd y llanw yn rhy uchel i gerdded, felly gwnaethon ni eistedd ar y traeth i ddarlunio a phaentio. Ar ôl awr neu ddau roedd y llanw wedi mynd allan tipyn bach ac roedden ni'n gallu cychwyn ein taith cerdded i Monkstone Point. Roedd e'n filltir i lawr traeth diddorol. Mae'r amgylchedd traeth yn newid o dywod i garreg, i wymon ayyb. Roedd rhaid i ni badlo yn y môr yma ac yna. O'r diwedd cyrhaeddon ni ar ben y traeth. Gwnaethon ni dringo dros rhai o gerrig i draeth arall a gallwn ni gweld Dinbych-y-pysgod yn y pellter. Gwnaethon ni teimlo fel archwilwyr. Weithiau mae'n dda - a hwyl - i fynd i leoedd sy'n anodd cyrraedd.

Cerddon ni'n ôl i Saundersfoot cyn roedd y llanw wedi troi. Cawson ni paned o de croeso yn y Marina siop sglodion cyn mynd yn ôl i'r gwersyll. Roedd e'n y diwrnod hiraf y flwyddyn ac ein diwrnod hiraf i ffwrdd o'r babell. Mae'r tywydd yn gwella ac rydyn ni'n edrych ymlaen at fwy o ddiwrnodau fel yma.

The weather was better today. After breakfast we decided to drive to Saundersfoot. But first we had to go back to Tenby because our new stove does not work. After our brief visit to Tenby we continued to Saundersfoot. Saundersfoot town is not as interesting as Tenby but the beach and coast are very interesting. We went around all the shops, but we did not see anything we wanted. At lunchtime we went to 'Harbwr' and we had grilled salmon. Then we went down to the beach.

The tide was too high to walk, so we sat on the beach to illustrate and paint. After a couple of hours the tide had gone out a bit and we could start our walk to Monkstone Point. It was a mile down an interesting beach. The beach environment changes from sand to stone, to beans etc. We had to dump in the sea here and then. We finally arrived at the top of the beach. We climbed over some stones to another beach and we can see Tenby in the distance. We felt as auditors. Sometimes it's good - and fun - to go to places that are hard to reach.

We walked back to Saundersfoot before the tide had turned. We had a welcome cup of tea in the Marina chip shop before going back to the campsite. It was the longest day of the year and our longest day away from the tent. The weather is improving and we look forward to more days like this.
