Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award

A beautiful sunny morning in the gardens of the Palace of Holyrood House for the Gold Duke of Edinburgh celebrations.
We’re all very proud of Bro1, he has throughly embraced all the challenges of the award levels and has gained so much and grown throughout the process.
The Earl of Wessex was charming, much more so than I had anticipated and he chatted to everyone.
The Queen was leaving in a helicopter as HRH spoke to Bro1’s group and he asked them all to wave to his mum. We also saw the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as they arrived at the Palace.
A lovely day.
