Just One Woof

Just a little while ago, we had a very loud and dramatic thunderstorm rumble through, with multiple lightning bolts and very sonorous, window-rattling booms which startled Mabel out of her nap, and made her shoot out from her bed behind the kitchen chair with one sharp, startled "WOOF!".  After she took a moment to collect her composure, she curled back up and went back to sleep.  Sensible girl.
