Family Service

Cycle route adjusted, I headed out a bit before 7am. Thanks to a persistent trill (in song but not sweet) blackbird in full voice outside the bedroom window, I was awake an hour earlier and relented in my attempts to ignore it half way between the two. It's a peach of a route, taking in the local villages of Little and Great Bromley, towards Crockleford Heath, Ardleigh, Dedham Heath and home.

After breakfast, we joined the congregation at St Mary's for the family service (the last for Mrs Wenden as Primary School Head Teacher). It's a delight to see the youngsters getting involved in the service, aided by Monty mouse as usual.

In the afternoon, the children played in the pool, whilst I watched Hamilton doing his best to ... well if you've not seen it, you'll be able to fill in the blanks later.
