Budle Bay sunset

After a day in the workshop, an evening walk - after all, it would be a shame not to make the most of this glorious weather.

So MrM drove us to Budle Bay. The tide was right out out when we arrived, and we walked along the sand as far as we could towards Bamburgh. Amazing views of the Farne Islands from the far point. As we started back the tide turned, as it wasn't long before the sand where we'd been walking was under water. We strolled back watching terns diving and eider ducks escorting their chicks in to the estuary, and heard oyster catchers calling. On the dunes, the  heady scent of meadowsweet and honey suckle.

A couple of shots looking inland from the bay in extras.
