Knights Hospitaller

A visit to the fantastically ornate St John's Co-Cathedral built in the 16th century as a the church for the Order of the Knights Hospitaller of St. John. The outside is completely plain but the interior was re-decorated in an elaborate Baroque style in the 17th century. The floor of the nave and the side chapels (one for each of the Langues of the Order) is covered with the decorated marble tombstones of some 390 knights of the order.
